Metal Building Fiberglass Insulation

Our faced MBI fiberglass is a resilient, flexible fiberglass blanket laminated to a high quality vapor retarder facing. It is the most common product used for insulating pre-engineered metal buildings. Faced fiberglass can be installed as a single layer, or combined with unfaced MBI fiberglass and various support hardware to create a "High R-Value System."

NAIMA 202-96® fiberglass metal building insulations are blanket insulations engineered specifically for metal building construction. These insulations are certified by NAHB to meet the 202-96 Standard for Flexible Fiberglass used in Metal Buildings and are "over engineered" to withstand the rigors of facing, lamination and handling that occurs during installation. We use NAIMA 202-96 fiberglass when laminating R-10, R-11, R-13, R-16 and R-19.

Available facings for fiberglass insulations

White Vinyl Faced (WV) fiberglass insulation is our most economical facing, light duty vinyl with a bright white finish. Please note that white vinyl facing is not recommended for cold weather applications.
White Vinyl (WV) facing specifications: White or black polypropylene film, fiber-glass & polyester scrim, 11# natural kraft.

WMP-VR Faced fiberglass insulation is our lowest cost general purpose product available with a bright white or black finish.
WMP-VR facing specifications: White or black polypropylene film, fiberglass & polyester scrim, 11# natural kraft.

WMP-10 Faced fiberglass insulation is an excellent general purpose facing specified by the Army Corps of Engineers and is available in bright white or black finish.
WMP-10 facing specifications: White or black polypropylene film, metallization, fiberglass & polyester scrim, 14# white kraft.

WMP-50 Facing fiberglass insulation has excellent strength and is highly abuse resistant. It is available in a bright white or black finish with an enhanced installed appearance.
WMP-50 facing specifications: White or black polypropylene film, fiberglass & polyester scrim, 30# natural kraft, metalized polyester.

Reflective Insulation Description
Reflective Insulation Reflective Insulation has a 15.2 down R-value rating and blocks 97% of radiant heat. Foil DOUBLE BUBBLE Foil and Foil DOUBLE BUBBLE Poly Insulation is 5/16" thick. It consists of a double layer of polyethylene bubbles, sandwiched between two highly reflective aluminum surfaces (as shown below) and is backed by a 15 year manufacturers warranty.
